Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme that spotlights eagerly awaited upcoming releases. It's hosted by Breaking the Spine.
This week's pick: Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver.

What if you had only one day to live? What would you do? Who would you kiss? And how far would you go to save your own life? Samantha Kingston has it all: the world's most crush-worthy boyfriend, three amazing best friends, and first pick of everything at Thomas Jefferson High—from the best table in the cafeteria to the choicest parking spot. Friday, February 12, should be just another day in her charmed life. Instead, it turns out to be her last. Then she gets a second chance. Seven chances, in fact. Reliving her last day during one miraculous week, she will untangle the mystery surrounding her death—and discover the true value of everything she is in danger of losing.

So this is one of my books for the Debut Author Challenge, and it just has such a striking, wonderful cover. Also, I've been reading some reviews around the blogosphere of Before I Fall, and they've all pretty much been glowing. Which has me thinking optimistically that this is going to be one of the best books of 2010. Hopefully. The premise does sound really cool--reliving the day of her death. I love books that deal with the butterfly effect--how little decisions can affect everything; and I think this book will be in that vein. It'll be interesting to see how Oliver executes it.
All in all, I'm pretty excited about this book, and pleased it's coming out in about a month! Can't wait. :D
